Frequently Asked Questions

Are all of your wind chimes handmade?

Yes. Every Sea Treasures wind chime is individually handcrafted by me in my workshop in Grenada. Each piece is made in small batches with great care and attention to detail, making every wind chime truly one of a kind.

No Two Are Ever the Same

I never work from a fixed pattern or duplicate a previous design. Every piece of driftwood has its own unique shape, every piece of genuine sea glass is different, and each wind chime develops naturally as I create it. I design each one by feeling and inspiration rather than following a template, making every Sea Treasures wind chime truly one of a kind.

What materials do you use?

My wind chimes are handcrafted using a combination of genuine sea glass, natural driftwood, locally sourced bamboo, recycled glass bottles and carefully selected shells. Whenever possible, I use materials collected here in Grenada, including the bamboo, driftwood, sea glass and bottles. Most of the shells are also collected locally, while a small number, such as Capiz shells, are carefully sourced to complement my designs. Every piece is inspired by the natural beauty of the Caribbean.

Is your sea glass genuine?

Yes. Whenever I use sea glass, it is genuine sea glass that I personally collect from the beaches of Grenada. I do not use machine-tumbled or artificially frosted glass. Each piece has been naturally shaped and weathered by the ocean over many years, making every design even more special.

Can your wind chimes be displayed outdoors?

Yes. They are perfect for covered verandas, patios, balconies and porches. To keep them looking their best, I recommend protecting them from prolonged exposure to harsh weather.

Is every wind chime unique?

Absolutely. Since I work with natural driftwood, sea glass and shells, every wind chime has its own character and can never be exactly duplicated.

Do you ship internationally?

Yes. I ship worldwide from Grenada. Delivery times vary depending on your country and local postal service.

How do I care for my handmade wind chime?

Your wind chime is designed to be enjoyed for many years. For the longest life, display it in a covered outdoor area such as a veranda, porch or patio, or indoors near an open window where it can gently catch the breeze.

To clean your wind chime, simply wipe the sea glass, shells and driftwood with a soft damp cloth to remove dust or salt deposits. If you would like to restore the beautiful shine of the sea glass and driftwood, apply a small amount of baby oil to a soft cloth and gently wipe the surfaces. This helps bring back their natural lustre after exposure to the elements.

During severe storms or hurricanes, I recommend bringing your wind chime indoors to protect it from strong winds.

Will the driftwood change over time?

Yes. Driftwood is a natural material, and small changes in colour and texture over time are perfectly normal. These natural characteristics are part of what makes every Sea Treasures wind chime unique and add to its coastal charm.
